FirstDue is led by Chris Coltrain, a U.S. Navy veteran and active first responder with more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications and technology, along with extensive experience in emergency operations, disaster response, public safety communications, mobile command, and specialized vehicle systems.
For more than 20 years, Chris has been directly involved in disaster and emergency-response operations across the country. His experience includes having a hand in the response to every major U.S. hurricane of the past decade, major wildfires in Malibu and Paradise, California, and significant flooding events in Texas.
Following Hurricane Maria, Chris served as the Incident Command System (ICS) Operations Lead for a major telecommunications company during the first 30 days of the response, helping coordinate operations during one of the most challenging communications and infrastructure recovery efforts in recent history.
That experience has provided firsthand exposure to the challenges responders and organizations face when conventional communications, power, infrastructure, and logistics are disrupted.
Combined with decades of telecommunications and technology experience, that operational background shapes the way FirstDue approaches every project: understand the mission first, then design the technology around it.
